Xtra Time Web Desk: Rishabh Pant likely to be discharged from hospital in two weeks. He is likely to start his rehab in two months. Pant had a major surgery on Medical Collateral Ligament (MCL) and a minor repair on Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. It is now known that the Team India wicket keeper batter will be released from the hospital after two weeks of further observation.

Pant was involved in a horrific car crash on December 30 and has been admitted in hospital since then. According to reports, Pant will be kept under observation to see if the ligaments are healing naturally after two surgeries. Once the ligaments heal, he will start his rehabilitation. The wicketkeeper’s condition will be assessed again in two months’ time.

The 25-year-old will miss the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League as well as miss the series against Australia at home. He is also doubtful for the World Cup which is scheduled in October and November, depending on his rehab.
