Suryakumar Yadav analyse his knock in Trivandrum against South Africa | INDvsSA

Xtra Time Web Desk: On a testing pitch at the Greenfield Stadium during the first T20I, where other Indian batters struggled against the Proteas pace battery of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Wayne Parnell, SuryaKumar Yadav looked a different batter altogether. SKY’s 33 ball fifty is being hailed by the cricket fraternity. But the man himself seems not satisfied. His wife Devisha posted a pic of him watching his innings and checking if he had any flaws. This is something that Suryakumar follows dedicatedly after every innings he plays. It helps him finding out the flaws if any in his knock.

Coming back to the match, all the Indian batters – captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul looked to struggle. Rahul was all at sea in the beginning of his innings.

Surya came into the crease after the powerplay following Kohli’s dismissal when the score was 17/2. He received a body blow in the very first ball he faced off Anrich Nortje. However, he soon got into the act by scoring two consecutive sixes off the next two balls. The flick over square leg boundary was a signature shot from SKY. In the next 30 minutes, it was all Suryakumar show as the South African bowlers looked helpless trying to restrict the onslaught. The Mumbai batter smashed his way to 33 ball fifty, helping India scamper home.
