Virat Kohli gifts signed ODI jersey to Mehidy Hasan Miraz after 2nd test in Mirpur | BANvsIND

Xtra Time Web Desk: It was great to see star India batter Virat Kohli having some words of encouragement for Bangladesh spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz after the end of the second test at the Sher e Bangla stadium on Saturday. Despite Mehidy’s five-fer Bangladesh ended up losing the test match by 3 wickets.

During the post match presentation ceremony Kohli had some words of encouragement for Mehidy. The former India captain also gifted his signed ODI jersey to the Bangladeshi spinner. Later both of them were seen posing for a photograph. The picture which is being tweeted by Mehidy is already going viral.

In a terrific spell of spin bowling, Mehidy went onto pick five wickets including the likes of Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Axar Patel, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. However, he couldn’t take his team to an improbable win.

India were dire straits with the score reading 74/7, in reply to 145 run target. But with series on the line, Ravichandran Ashwin scored a solid 42 off 62 balls and with help from Shreyas Iyer (29) , went onto win the match for India.
