It was a dominant performance that will see Remco Evenepoel in the Rainbow Colours for the 2023 season. With a successful solo breakaway, it soon became a race for second place

In the minutes following the race we managed to get our hands on Remco’s race bike, tyres still warm from the tarmac and sweat drying on the toptube.

As far as the tech goes, perhaps the most interesting point is Evenepoel’s decision to run the shallow and perhaps not-super-aero Roval Alpinist CLX II wheels – suggesting that the Belgian star planned for the race to be made on the single steep climb of the city circuit.

Enjoy!
