Florida football legend, Heisman Trophy winner and two-time collegiate national champion Tim Tebow’s dream of resurrecting his NFL career has come to an end. The Jacksonville Jaguars announced the 34-year-old’s release, ending newly-hired head coach Urban Meyer’s experiment with his former star college quarterback.
Tebow had not played football since the 2015 NFL preseason and had spent the past six years working as a broadcaster on the SEC Network before his return to the gridiron. He also pursued his dream of playing professional baseball with the New York Mets, from which he retired in February after maxing out at Triple-A.
Thankful for the highs and even the lows, the opportunities, and the setbacks. I’ve never wanted to make decisions out of fear of failure and I’m grateful for the chance to have pursued a dream…
