Florida Gators football roster is set before Orange and Blue game

||

The Florida Gators are less than 24 hours away from kicking off its Orange and Blue spring game, and head coach Billy Napier finally revealed the team’s full roster on Thursday afternoon.

Every season, most top-tier college football programs hold a same-team exhibition game, allowing the coaching staff and fan bases to get a closer look at what teams have to offer well ahead of the regular football season in August.

The game will feature a full four quarters of football with a 15-minute halftime and a running clock. Clock stoppage will only occur within the final four minutes of each half.

Incoming freshman quarterback DJ Lagway will take the starting snaps for the Orange team while returning senior QB Graham Mertz leads the way for the Blue team’s offense.

Check out the full rosters for the Orange and Blue squads on Saturday afternoon.

Lagway is expected to take a backseat to Mertz when the Gators kick off their season on August 31. Therefore, the freshman will mainly be playing with Florida’s second team throughout the contest.

Although they both appear on the Blue roster, freshman linebacker Myles Graham and offensive tackle Austin Barber will be missing after sustaining injuries, knocking them both out for the majority of spring practices.

Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. ET on Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The exhibition will be broadcast on ESPN+.
