Accolades across the board for the Nittany Lions.

The Big Ten announced its all-conference offensive teams on Tuesday, with 12 Penn State offensive players earning some level of distinction. To the surprise of no one, Olu Fashanu led the way for the Nittany Lions, taking home First Team honors from both the Coaches and Media, while also being named B1G Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Here is how the rest of the teams broke down:

  • Hunter Nourzad: Second Team (Coaches & Media)
  • Kaytron Allen: Second Team (Coaches), Third Team (Media)
  • Nicholas Singleton: Third Team (Coaches & Media)
  • Tyler Warren: Third Team (Coaches), Honorable Mention (Media)

Other Nittany Lion offensive players to be named as an honorable mention include: Drew Allar, Theo Johnson, KeAndre Lambert-Smith, JB Nelson, Caedan Wallace, Sal Wormley, and Vega Ioane.

As Daniel Gallen of Lions247 pointed out on Twitter, it’s been an impressive turnaround on the offensive line by Phil Trautwein.

Having six offensive linemen make the all-conference team is mighty impressive, especially for where this unit was at heading into the 2022 season. There will be some turnover with Fashanu almost certainly headed to the NFL, Nourzad out of eligibility, and Caedan Wallace and Sal Wormley with decisions to make on their potential sixth seasons, but it’s a room that clearly has some solid depth.
