The Ohio State baseball team bounced back in a big way on Saturday after dropping the first of a three-game weekend series against Michigan on Friday with a 16-1 win.
The Wolverines actually got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning with an RBI double to take the early 1-0 lead, but that would be all of the sunshine the Maize and Blue would see on Saturday.
It took a couple of more innings for OSU to get things going with a three-run top of the third inning. From there, things kept clicking at the plate with the Ohio State totaling 16 hits and scoring three more runs in the sixth to make it 6-1, three additional in the seventh to extend the lead to 9-1, then four more in the eighth to make the score 13-1.
The Buckeyes would tack on three more runs in the top of the ninth to go ahead 16-1 and then shut down Michigan in the bottom of the ninth to even the weekend series. With the win, OSU improves its record to 19-16 overall and 6-5 in the Big Ten.

Gavin Bruni (3-2)had plenty of run support and allowed just one hit and one run in 5.0 innings pitched. He struck out six en route to the win. Ohio State and Michigan will play the rubber match of the series on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
