India to take on Pakistan in Ahmedabad on October 15 as BCCI release draft schedule

Xtra Time Web Desk: If everything goes according to plans then Pakistan will play the blockbuster game against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium during the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on October 15. According to draft schedule prepared by BCCI, both the Asian powerhouses will meet at Ahmedabad despite Pakistan Cricket Board’s reservations.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared the draft schedule with the ICC, which was then sent it to the participating countries for feedback before a final schedule is put out early next week.

The draft schedule does not mention the venues for the semi-finals, which are likely to be played on November 15 and 16. The final will be on November 19 in Ahmedabad, which is also scheduled to host the opening game.

According to the draft schedule, reigning champions England will take on New Zealand in the tournament opener on October 5. Hosts India will kickstart its campaign in the 2023 World Cup against Australia in Chennai on October 8.
