Micah Richards sends clear message to Arsenal and Manchester City over transfer for Serie A

Dusan Vlahovic, a target for Arsenal and Manchester City, has ‘everything you need’ in a striker, according to Micah Richards.

Vlahovic scored 21 goals in Serie A for Fiorentina last season, and has 16 goals in 18 games across all competitions this season.

Fiorentina have already confirmed that the 21-year-old wonderkid will not extend his current contract, which runs out in 2023.

As a result, clubs such as Juventus, City, Arsenal, and Real Madrid have expressed an interest in signing the Serbian international.

According to Sky Italy, the Gunners are in talks with Fiorentina about a deal, but would have to persuade the player to join the club, which he is unsure about at the moment.

Juventus wants to improve their goal-scoring options, but a deal for Vlahovic would be difficult to complete due to the financial implications, as well as his agent’s request for a commission.

Former Premier League star Richards, who spent a season on loan at Fiorentina, told BBC Radio Five Live that both City and Arsenal should do everything they can to sign the youngster.

‘I’ve been watching him for a while now. He is a bolt of lightning. It’s completely absurd. This season, he has 16 goals in 18 games. He described his left foot as “like a wand.”

‘I’m telling you right now, he’s everything, everything you require.

In other news, Juventus is interested in signing Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a six-month loan in January.

Following a ‘disciplinary breach,’ the club captain has been barred from first-team training and stripped of his captaincy. He is rumored to be considering leaving the club.
